I'm tired of people (the majority of which Christians) telling me that I can't respect their belief, because I'm an Atheist. I'm fed up with being told that I don't 'honor' who they are, and that because of that, all atheists are mean, rude, and 'satanic' people. I just wanted to stress that just because I don't believe what you believe in, doesn't mean I don't respect you! Like most people, I can go as far as saying I am FINE with whatever you preach, as long as you don't try to convert me, or if you even disrespect my beliefs with rude comments. I've seen a lot of really shitty remarks about atheism, its really getting on my nerve. Respect me, and I'll respect your beliefs. Its as simple as that, okay? Cool.

In some countries -like the mid-east- atheism is illegal. There the atheists have to keep their freedom of thought to themselves. But, then again, the people of the mid-east are generally quadrupeds and apes.
The people of Europe are actually more evolved than those elsewhere. We used to have public executions that were made as painful as possible and as prolonged as possible. Burial was often denied to the corpse. Now we try to delay , to ensure the condemned don't suffer and to make sure it's over in a jiffy. We also afford decent burial once the criminal is dead. I think the Bubonic plague caused a genetic shift.
And that includes more rational philosophical systems.
