Description

gah these two

They were talking, two people without identities and with names others spoke- but only they knew the meaning of. Names are noises- and they could see right through it all, without a doubt.
Her hand was looped around his elbow, with words coming from the both of them, words no one could really hear all too well in the surrounding pitter of small rain and old fashioned cars.
His eyes were down on his watch, and he was saying something- about the time, possibly.
The lady next to him, seemingly distanced from his anxiousness, merely looked off onto the street in another direction.
You would only guess they were waiting for a trolly.
It never came.
It couldn't have, perhaps, as they waited for many more moments longer, and eventually, a long sigh came from the man, and his hot, angry expression turned more dampened than the rain around them.
A car drove past and averted their shapes away for just a moment, but as it passed once more, you could see the two people again. She was looking at him in the eye, promising something that I guessed would be along the lines of; its fine, the time doesnt matter, we can find elsewhere to go.
And then another car.
And then they were kissing. Or rather, she had leaned up on her shiny red tip-toes to kiss him against the gray weather, and looking somewhat startled, the man had no reaction at first, and only pulled away after, blinking his eyes many times, as if very confused.
Then again, and this time, it was he whom had made the first move.
I can't explain it.
The feeling I got, watching them there. I knew it, deep down within my sad and lonely heart, that it could have only been a first kiss. It was all too quirky and beautiful to be something they treated as the norm.
Or perhaps they were just very beautiful people.
And then they were gone. A trolly had pulled up, and she had grabbed his hand, and they were gone.
And then, the trolly was gone, too.
And I was left on the streets with an umbrella in one hand and a heart in the other- and I believe I had fallen in love with people I'd never see again.
